Karan a 14 year old child, now studying in 9th standard, introduced to IVF in 2015 from an imprisoned mother from Tihar jail. After visiting his house our counselors understood the vulnerable situation of his family. Karan has three siblings and one cousin residing with their grandmother, who is the only support to his family. Karan is eldest among all these four children. When India Vision foundation started to support this family our counselor conducted detailed sessions with all children and individual sessions with Karan to make him understand about his ‘Limitlessness’ and to be responsible and helpful to his younger sisters and grandmother.
Our regular follow ups with him has not only given him a vision but also has helped him to build a dream for his future. Today Karan aspires to become a scientist. Our counselors have observed his hard working nature, observing skills and have motivated him to join for tuitions and community Library, we strongly believe that all this has helped him to be bold in his future steps towards his dreams.
His interest in Electronics also motivated him to re-use damaged electronic toy equipment and make Battery cars, small fan, and an electronically operating cutting machine. Our counselor always motivates him to experiment different things and provide him with different books and notes which help him to explore new ideas. He is very thankful to the support and is very respectful towards elders.
The community in which they are living is exposed with different issues which make children more vulnerable. But, Karan and his siblings always stay away from all these things and are very clear about their future.
